However, since the start of the war in Ukraine in 2022, our city has experienced a significant influx of refugees fleeing the devastating conflict. Many of them have found themselves in dire circumstances, lacking basic necessities such as shelter, financial resources, clothing, and even food. In response, "The New Hope" and several other local NGOs have rallied to provide aid and support to these vulnerable individuals.

"The New Hope" has become a beacon of hope for Ukrainian refugees, leveraging their proactive presence in our community, strong history of achievements, and access to a well-stocked storage facility. Their comprehensive support includes essential provisions like food, clothing, and assistance in securing employment and housing. Additionally, they organize regular Saturday gatherings where Ukrainian refugees can come together, forge new friendships, and receive training in various areas to enhance their skills and integration into their new surroundings.

Recognizing the power of visual content in conveying experiences and bridging cultures, we proudly collaborate with "The New Hope" by offering free photography master classes exclusively for young Ukrainians in our city. Through these workshops, we aim to empower them, foster self-expression, and provide a platform for their voices to be heard.

"The New Hope" currently serves as a vital resource center for refugees, acting as a safe haven where they can seek aid, guidance, and support. Thanks to the invaluable assistance from the government, they have launched a six-month project tailored to the specific needs of the refugees. This comprehensive program includes free education in diverse fields, such as Lithuanian language classes, health-related training, and support for a Ukrainian choir that rehearses in the NGO partner's premises.
